Learning Experience at Kreta Ayer Heritage Gallery
23 July 2026
Students from Primary cohort explored Kreta Ayer’s heritage through Chinese opera, puppetry, calligraphy, tea appreciation and Nanyin music, gaining a deeper appreciation of Singapore’s cultural traditions.

Our Primary 4 students had an enriching learning experience at Kreta Ayer Heritage Gallery as they explored the rich history of the Kreta Ayer precinct. From experiencing the vibrant art of Chinese Opera to trying their hand at Puppetry, practising beautiful Calligraphy, appreciating the traditions of Tea Appreciation, and listening to the soothing melodies of Nanyin Music, our students were fully immersed in Singapore’s cultural heritage. Through these hands-on activities, they gained a deeper appreciation of how traditions are preserved and continue to shape our multicultural society. Learning truly comes alive beyond the classroom!
