ICT Vision

To create an IT-enriched learning environment where pupils acquire knowledge and skills for self-directed and collaborative learning

Mission

Providing the necessary ICT support (infrastructure and resources) to enable IP Departments to achieve their curriculum and MP3 objectives
Create a pro-ICT Culture in school by tapping on ICT mentors

ICT Goals

1) To integrate the objectives of MP3 and 21st Century skills into the curriculum

2) To adopt educational technologies to promote self-directed and collaborative learning in instructional programmes

3) To leverage on ICT tools to improve academic results of pupils

4) To equip pupils with baseline ICT skills and cyberwellness awareness skills to use technology in a safe way

5) To explore and adopt emerging technology to enhance teaching and learning

6) To use ICT tools to increase productivity of staff in administrative matters

Key ICT Programmes

1. iPod Touch Programme

This programme is aimed at giving pupils a head start in using technology, as well as making learning fun and engaging for them.

With the iPod Touch, pupils are now able to read their favourite digital stories, view videos, listen and create their own podcasts and even surf the internet seamlessly, all on one device.

Currently, all Primary One pupils and form teachers are involved in this pilot ICT project. The pupils have carried out fieldwork in the school hall and classrooms prior to their learning journey which is the Singapore Zoological Garden.

In their learning journey to the zoo, pupils were brought to various learning stations. Equipped with their iPod Touch, pupils learned about facts of animals, did on-line assessment quizzes, and created podcasts about what they had learned.

Our ICT lessons have certainly extended beyond the walls of our classrooms.

2. Computer Skills Training Programme for all Levels

The main objective of this programme is to equip pupils with the necessary Information and ICT Literacy Skills. From the duration of Term 1 to Term 4, pupils will be mastering different ICT literacy skills at each level through the 6 years in school.
